Today, tomorrow, and every day, make it a point to do these two things:
- Experience 5 minutes of pure joy (see video below for an example). Turn off the news. Stop yelling at the kids. Let go of your anger and allow yourself this moment each day where life is so full of uninhibited joy that you can hardly breathe.
- Give someone 5 minutes of pure joy. Do something daring and brimming with kindness. Let thoughtfulness saturate your mind and your heart. Cause another human being to experience this same pure joy.
I promise you that if you do these two things every day for two weeks, record them in a journal, and give thanks to God for allowing them, you will see a profound change in your mental and physical health.
